Wayne V. Vedeckis received his
Ph.D. in Biology from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL. He is the Amgen
Professor of Oncology and Acting Head of the Department of Biochemistry
and Molecular Biology, Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center,
New Orleans, LA. He also serves as Associate Director for Basic Sciences
in the Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center. Dr. Vedeckis is an active Catholic
and a member of Cor Christi Trinitate, a new work in the Church.
He and his wife have received the "Eddy Award" from St. Edward
the Confessor Catholic Church for service to the parish and the St. Louis
IX Medallion from the Archdiocese of New Orleans for service to the parish
and archdiocese. |
